The visit to the Weimar Bauhaus by the ghost of Oskar Schlemmer

A tribute to painter, theatre designer, and scenographer Oskar Schlemmer (1888–1943), this video offers a digital reimagining of the Cabinet of Figures, originally created in 1922 at the Bauhaus school. Conceived during a residency in 2009, it features students embodying the spirits of the place, transfigured through artificial intelligence — a kind of “cinematic modelling clay” capable of teleporting the Bauhaus of Weimar into a new audiovisual materiality. The original soundtrack, composed by Rainier Lericolais, enhances the geometric dimension of the piece, weaving a subtle link between futuristic past and contemporary avant-garde.
